My mother and Tom flew into Boston on Friday and drove up to Maine to meet Riley, Taylor, and I (Todd was on call for work so he couldn't come).
The children were very excited about seeing their Grandmother and Tom and were also enjoying a vacation away from NY.
On Saturday we gave Grandma Susan and Tom a tour of the Maine seacoast. Our first stop was Ogunquit, Maine. There is a beautiful walk along the water.

Riley is really into birds and he wanted his picture taken next to this seagull.

We decided to ride the trolley back to the car because Taylor's legs were getting tired.

After Ogunquit we headed down to Portsmouth, NH. My mother had not been able to visit while we lived in Portsmouth in 2002, so I wanted to show her the area.
It is very quaint and there are some neat historic places to see. We started downtown, strolled through the shops, and had lunch at a cafe.
Then we headed over to the Strawberry Banke and walked through the park.

In the evening we went back to the cabin to celebrate Taylor's third birthday!!

On Monday we went to Wells beach to let the children play for a little while before the long car ride home. After saying good-bye, my mother and Tom continued their trip north to visit Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
